A little illusion of sunshine

I’m curious if anyone else has experienced this: Try a simple experiment next time you’re lying in the sun on a hot summer day. Cover your eyes with a towel or with the inside of your elbow and block out all the light. After a moment, the sudden darkness makes the sensation of heat on your skin fade away, and you may feel as if you’re resting in a cool cave. It’s fascinating how easily our brains can be misled by such simple sensory tricks.

Living in a northern country like Finland means enduring long, dark winters, and for many people this can lead to feelings of depression or seasonal anxiety. But what if a simple reverse trick, like the one above, could help lift your mood during the darker months?

Our new Halo Light projects a focused beam that illuminates your window frame, mimicking the effect of sunlight streaming in.
