Kajo

Jätkä
In Finland it is called Jätkänkynttilä, while in Canada it is known as a lumberjack candle. This is one of the most intriguing traditions of the northern hemisphere- simple yet ingenious in function: A wooden trunk is positioned vertically and split crosswise in the middle, then lit from within, often with a simple candle. The wood burns for hours, using a natural chimney effect to fuel the fire. Lumbermen at work thus received warmth and light. Jätkänkynttilä inspired this exciting LED luminaire, crafted from alder wood. It adapts to the user’s needs, from functional to atmospheric light, through intuitive manual dimming. Glare-free.
